Samuel Mcghee

Samuel McGhee, age 86, of Jacksboro, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Tennova Physicians Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church. He was a very loving & devoted husband of 65 years and enjoyed spending time with his family that he loved very much. Sam was an Army veteran that was very proud and honored to serve his country during WWII.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother Carl and Senda Bullock McGhee, brothers Audie, Don, and Daniel McGhee, and sister Velsie May.

He is survived by his wife Betty McGhee, brother Harry McGhee of Ohio, sisters Gladys Queener of Jacksboro and Oice Burch of Ohio, special great niece Cindi Silcox, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 13, 2012 in the Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev Bobby Ray Wilson and nephew Tom Queener officiating. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012 in the Campbell Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside services. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
