Sandra Faye (Meredith) Wolfenbarger 

June 6, 1948 – August 23, 2026 

Sandra Faye (Meredith) Wolfenbarger, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, at the age of 78. Sandra was born on June 6, 1948, to James Hoyt Meredith and Majgel “Mae” Lay Meredith. Sandra graduated from Jellico High School in 1966. In 1969, she married the love of her life, John Everett Wolfenbarger, with whom she shared many years of marriage and cherished memories until his passing in 2016. Sandra was a woman of strong faith who found great comfort and joy in studying her Bible. She also had a beautiful love for gospel music and enjoyed singing. Her creativity was evident in her love of painting, a hobby that brought her happiness throughout her life.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, James Hoyt Meredith (1977) and Majgel “Mae” Lay Meredith (1999); her husband, John Everett Wolfenbarger (2016); and her daughter, Cheryl Walls (2018). Sandra valued her privacy deeply and made the personal decision to maintain no contact with her family during her later years. Her wishes were respected, and her privacy remained very important to her. 

Sandra leaves behind two daughters, Lisa (Alton) Driver of Woodbine, Georgia, and Stacy (T.J.) Reynolds of Alamo, Georgia. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be on Wednesday September 2, 2026 at Powell Valley Cemetery at 10:00 AM.
