Sarah Lou Gross Ayers, a beloved mother, age 74 of Jacksboro went peacefully to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 12, 2016.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Willie Bell (Ward) Gross; sons Harvey Louis Evans, and David Wayne Gross; daughters Angela and Sarah Tapp; granddaughter Chasity Evans; brothers Eugene, Johnny, and Freddie Gross; sisters Edith Darlene, Lou Vernie, Mary Sparks, and Nancy Burton.
She is survived by daughters Darlene (David) McGhee of Jacksboro, Alma (Mark) White of Clinton, and Melissa (Chris) Marlow of Jacksboro; sons Tony (Melissa) Evans of Jacksboro, James (Susan) Tapp of LaFollette; brothers James (Pansy) Gross of Dayton, TN; Ralph (Ella) Gross of Jacksboro, Wayne Gross of LaFollette, Robert (Hazel) Gross of LaFollette, Charles (Bonnie) Gross of LaFollette, Ray (Jackie) Gross of Jacksboro; special sister and friend Kathy McNeeley; sisters Annie Miller of Jacksboro, 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-8 PM Saturday, October 15, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be 2 PM Sunday, October 16, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Rutherford and Rev. Kenny Allen officiating followed by the funeral procession to Cumberland View cemetery.
