Sarah Katherine Evans

Sarah Katherine Evans, age 69, of Caryville passed away on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at LaFollette Medical Center. She was a member of Lake View Baptist Church. She was a very loving wife of 49 years, mother, & grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family, working with special needs children, & spending time at the cabin in the mountains with her friends

She was preceded in death by her parents Sterling & Callestine (Bruce) Shelton, brothers Loyd, Foister, Burgen, Johnnie, Oscar, & James Shelton, sister Pernie Gwin, & infant sister Lillie.

She is survived by her husband Leonard Evans of Caryville, son Brian Keith Evans & wife Krista of Caryville, daughter Linda Gail Chapman & husband Michael of Clinton, brothers Burton Shelton & wife Vivian of Caryville, Pete Shelton & wife Bonnie of Caryville, and Don Shelton & wife Brenda of Jacksboro, sisters Laura Sharp & husband Benny and Jessie Shelton all of Caryville, and Becky Howard & husband Doug of Lake City, grandsons Joel, Josh, Isaac, & Jacob, & special friends Cecil & Mickie Parrott.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9th, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Martin Wilson Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Danny Light officiating. Interment will be on Sunday, February 10th, 2013 at 11:00 am at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
