Shannon Elaine Byrd

Shannon Elaine Byrd age 23 of Speedwell passed away Saturday December 19, 2009 at Ft Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville.
Shannon was a member of Pump Hollow Missionary Baptist Church and a devout Christian with a profound love for her friends, church, family and son Devin. She expressed her faith and devotion through the sacred hymns she sang with divine sincerity. As was often said, Shannon never met a stranger. She epitomized the term "people person" and made friends everywhere she went with her warm smile and lovable personality. Her love for people was also evident in her professional occupation as a phlebotomist with Lab Core at UT Medical Center.

Shannon was preceded in death by her Grandfathers: Oliver Perry "O.P." Byrd, James Brooks and Thurman Marlow. Nephew: Aiden Gage Bolinger.  Aunt: Lisa Jones and Cousin: Danielle Nicole Jones.

She is survived by Son: Devin Dwane Muse. Parents: Dwane and Theresa Byrd. Sister and Brother in Law: Olivia Dawn and Mark Bolinger. Grandmothers: Alma Byrd and Jean Ann Marlow. Great Grandparents: Ernest and Onilee Bell. Niece: Kaydence Faith Bolinger. Aunts: Linda and Paul Robbins, Beverly and Carl Capps, Teresa and Robert Burton, Sharon and Ed Bruce and Joyce Ridenour. Uncles: Roger and Vickie Byrd, Eddie and Tina Brooks, Shawn and Rhonda Brooks and J.R. Jones and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev David Goins and Rev. Kyle Baker officiating. Interment will be 11 AM Wednesday in Campbell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4 until 8 PM Tuesday night before funeral service.
