Shirley Faye Russell

Shirley Russell, age 70 of Jacksboro, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at her home. She was a member of LaFollette Baptist Temple. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Clifford Russell; their two sons David and Terry Russell; parents Hugh and Elizabeth Walden; sisters Norene Brill and Louise Cantrell; and brother Hugh Walden Jr.

She is survived by her daughter Angela Wilson and husband Alford of LaFollette; grandkids Tiffany Russell of Jacksboro, T.C. Russell of Jacksboro, Whitney Wilson of LaFollette, Jacob Wilson of LaFollette, Kadie Russell of Knoxville, Kayla Teter of Clinton; great grandson Charlie Teter of Clinton; sisters Wanda and Herb Strevel of Virginia, Wilma Hammond of LaFollette, Sarah and JB Monday of Jacksboro, Ruby Norman of LaFollette, Sandra Chapman of Jacksboro; brothers Ed and Judy Walden of LaFollette, Wayne Walden of LaFollette, LeRoy and Brenda Russell of LaFollette; several nieces and nephews and other family members.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will at 12:00 PM on Monday, January 31, 2022 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral with Rev. Doug Walden and brother-in-law J.B. Monday officiating. Interment will follow at Powell Valley Cemetery.
