Thelma Beatrice Daugherty

Thelma Beatrice Daugherty, age 90, of Jacksboro passed away on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013 at LaFollette Court Assisted Living. She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. She was a very loving wife of 58 years, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother that enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her flower garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents Amos & Minnie (Lindsay) Stooksbury, husband Russell Daugherty, son Harold Daugherty, brother Earl Stooksbury, and sister Ruby Wright.

She is survived by her sons David Arnold Daugherty & Millie of Michigan, Steve Daugherty & wife Karin of North Carolina, and Mark Daugherty & wife Rayma of Jacksboro; daughter Joann Meriwether & husband Bruce of Jacksboro; sisters Edna Byrd and Faye McNeeley both of Michigan; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24th, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow visitation at 8:00 pm with Rev. Ronnie Arnold officiating. Interment will be held on Friday, October 25th, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Indian Creek Cemetery. The family would like to say a special thank you to Chesney Orick, Tara Jones, and other staff members of LaFollette Court Assisted Living.
