Thelma Ruth Daugherty

Thelma Ruth Daugherty, age 89 of Jacksboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at her home. She was born on March 13, 1933, to the late Estel Wilson and Hannah (Boshears) Wilson. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing with her husband at Cumberland View Baptist Church where they were members for over 50 years.

In addition to her parents, she Is preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Obal Daugherty; son Rick Daugherty; daughter Rita Jane Daugherty Branam; brother Claude Wilson; and sister Wanda Wilson Kitts.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine L. Daugherty of Jacksboro; granddaughter Stacie Marlana Davis of Jacksboro; brothers Ernest Wilson of Jacksboro, George Wilson of Spring City, and Lendon Wilson and wife Susie of Jacksboro; sisters Maxine Albertini and husband Roy of Ohio, Fleda Adkins of Jacksboro, Pat Hembree and husband Lawrence of Jacksboro, and Peggy Hungerford of Missouri; several nieces, nephews, and host of other friends and relatives.

A visitation will be on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tim Wilson and Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating. Interment to follow the funeral service at Cumberland View Cemetery.
