Thelma Savage Godfrey

Thelma Savage Godfrey, age 93, of Ellijay, GA went home to be with Jesus on Mother's Day on Sunday, May 10, 2015. She was a member of the Lake View Baptist Church in Caryville and loved attending church at North Cutt Baptist Church when she was in Georgia. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew & Hila (Weaver) Savage; husband Burl Godfrey; son Kenneth Godfrey; brothers Estel and Carlin Savage and sisters Ruth Savage, Pauline Davidson and Elsie Thorton.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda Berry & husband Stan of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren Sabra Pray, Chris Berry and Andrew & Matthew Godfrey and great-grandchildren Carson, Cole, Spencer and Ruthie Pray and Sydney, Sierra and Ian Berry.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 - 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow with Rev. Chris Berry officiating. Interment will follow the service at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
