Thurston L Boshears, age 87, of Jacksboro went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 1, 2013. He was a member of Mt Paran Baptist Church. Mr. Boshears was a member of the Jacksboro Masonic Lodge # 322 for 54 years and a veteran of World War II. He loved farming, working outdoors and spending time with his church family.
Preceded in death by his Parents: Cal and Anna Pearl Sexton Boshears.
Survived by Sons: Thurston Boshears, Jr and James E. Boshears both of Jacksboro. Daughter: Charlotte Boshears Perry and husband Don of Jacksboro. Stepdaughters: Sandra Owens and husband James of Jacksboro, Regina McQuinn and husband Ted of Oldsmar, Fla. Brother: George Archie Boshears of Jacksboro. Sister: Leoma Patty of Wisconsin. Nephew: Perry Calvin Patty. 7 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2 PM Saturday May 4, 2013 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Masonic service will be at 1:45. Family will receive friends from 12-1:45 PM before the service. Interment will following in Mt Paran cemetery with Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside service.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Mt. Paran Baptist church building fund.
