Tj Goodman

TJ Goodman age 85 of Caryville, departed this life on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born January 21, 1939, in LaFollette to the late Henry and Vanell Smith Goodman. TJ was a coal miner and worked many years for the city of Caryville. He loved to fish, play poker and watching the Atlanta Braves.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Agnes Fay Goodman; his brothers Roy, Earl and Paul (Dahmer) Goodman; his sisters Mary Rose, Margie, Lola, Cathleen, June and Mary (Poochie).

TJ is survived by his children Richard Goodman and wife Paige, Tina Carr, Mike Goodman and wife Cheryl, Rodney Goodman, Derrick Goodman and wife Sabrina; his grandchildren Tabetha, Grant, Cody, Rikki, Sunshine, Chantelle, Nathan, Matthew and Payton; his great grandchildren Raeleigh, Journey, Jackson, Novalee, Corbin, Tyson, Willow, Dawson, Magnolia and Macie Jo; his great great grandchildren Carter and Oakland; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation for TJ will be on Thursday October 10, 2024, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bo Freeman officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM on Friday October 11, 2024, at the funeral home to go in funeral procession to Peabody Cemetery for a 11:00 AM interment.
