Tonya Marie Embrey

Tonya Marie Embrey, age 57 of Nashville, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at St. Thomas West in Nashville. She was born June 19, 1965.  Tonya loved books and was an avid reader. She had a great love for animals and was passionate about greyhound rescue. She also had passion for social work. Tonya attended St. Henry Catholic Church in Nashville.

She is preceded in death by her parents Larry and Marianne (Fry) Clark and Thomas Russell.

She is survived by her daughter Madeline Embrey of Nashville; brothers Joe Russell and wife Suzette of Knoxville, Jeff Russell and wife Shelia of Cleveland, and Larry Clark of Kentucky; sisters Cheryl Griffith of Jacksboro and Mona Lambert and husband Kevin of Maryville; stepmother Julia Russell; and a host of  special nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Tonya enjoyed her family and friends very much and loved spending time with them.

A visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2022 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM with Deacon Dan Hosford presiding. Interment to follow the funeral mass at Woodlawn Cemetery.
