Velma L Simpson

Velma L. Simpson, age 86, of LaFollette passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at LaFollette Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. Velma was a very loving wife of 67 years, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved working in her garden and her flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Thomas & Melody (Sammon) Mink and husband William McKinley Simpson.

She is survived by her sons Joe Simpson & wife Patricia of Caryville and Danny Simpson of Thompson Station, TN, daughter Gail Highland of Illinois, brother Arthur Wayne Mink of West Virginia, 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Brooks Cemetery in Ewing, VA with Brother Bob Medley officiating.
