Venia (Walden) Kirby

Venia (Walden) Kirby, age 75 of Jacksboro departed this life Wednesday, September 13, 2017.   She was a member of House of Prayer & Praise church. Venia enjoyed going to garage sales and talking on the phone with family & friends.

She is preceded in death by husband Luther V. Kirby; parents Chris & Rosa (Smiddy) Walden; brother Bill Walden; sisters Verna Thomas and Louise Ryan.

She is survived by sister Carolyn Wilson of Jacksboro; sister-in-law Peggy Walden of Duff; several nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 PM Friday, September 15, 2017 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home followed by funeral service at 8 PM with Rev. Mike Franklin, Rev. Carl Martin, and Brother Carl Douglas officiating. Friends and family will meet 10:30 AM Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home for the funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for 11:00 AM interment where Rev. J.C. Bruce will be officiating the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Campbell County Cancer Society.
