Virgle Phillips

Virgle Phillips. age 84 of Jacksboro, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born on April 8, 1936 to the late Jim Phillips and Martha (McKamey) Phillips. He was a loving husband of 58 years and he also enjoyed spending time with his family. Virgle enjoyed going to church at Cumberland View Baptist Church where he was a member for over 58 years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers Rev. Carlas Phillips, Wilmer Phillips, Elmer Phillips, Kilmer Phillips, and Ernest Phillips and sisters Kilsie Cook, Elsie Warman, Geneva Shoun, Carrie Gross, and Frosty Henderson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Louise Phillips of Jacksboro; brother Odis Phillips and wife Elaine of LaFollette and sister Oma Heatherly of Bon Aqua, TN; sister-in-law Elizabeth Phillips of Jacksboro; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

Friends may stop by at their convenience from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Ault and Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Campbell Memorial Gardens.
