Wade Boshears, age 88 of Jacksboro passed away Friday, May 13, 2016. He was a Deacon of the Mt. Paran Baptist church for over fifty five years. He served in the US Navy from 1945 to 1949 and retired from Key Limestone in 1989. Wade enjoyed watching UT sports and Campbell County girls' basketball. He also loved farming, spending time with his family, church family, and grandkids. Wade was a great storyteller who enjoyed making people laugh.
Preceded in death by his parents Brown and Bertha (Gross) Boshears; brothers Harold, Wheeler, and Eldon Boshears.
Survived by his wife of 65 years Barbara Boshears of Jacksboro; daughters Marlene (Douglas) Broadway, and Freda (Tony) Branam, both of Jacksboro; brothers Hugh Boshears of Jacksboro, Morton Boshears of VA., and Cal Boshears of Jacksboro; sisters Opal Phillips of Maryland, Lilly Marie Kidwell of Florida, and Mary Hannah Riggs of Florida; 3 grandchildren Travis Wade Honeycutt, Brad Honeycutt, and Lucy Branam, 3 great granddaughters, twins Alexis and Reagan Honeycutt and Maelee Jean Honeycutt, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Family will receive friends Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 1 - 3 PM at the Mt. Paran Baptist Church; the funeral service at 3 PM with Rev. Ron Williams officiating. The interment will follow service to Jacksboro Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Mt. Paran Baptist Church Building Fund.
