Walter "Sam" Miller

Walter (Sam) Miller age 78 of Lafollette passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County.  He attended Davis Chapel Baptist Church.  Mr. Miller was a very loving husband of 58 yrs, also a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.  Walter was an avid hunter that enjoyed spending time hunting and camping or doing things with his family in the outdoors.  Walter will be remembered for a lot of his houses and buildings he built professionally in the Lafollette and surrounding  areas.

Preceded in death by Daughter: Kristi Hope Miller. Parents: Walter and Helen St. John Miller. Brothers: Leland Ernest Miller and Virgil St John. Sisters: Lucille Ivey and Violet Bales.

Survived by Wife: Geraldine Chadwell Miller.  Sons: David Miller and wife Karen,
Rector Miller and wife Karla, Walter Gene Miller and wife Tammie and Jeffery Lynn Miller Sr. all of Lafollette. Daughters: Joan Crutchfield and husband Dwight, Cathy Muse and husband Paul, Becky Clear and husband Robert all of Lafollette. Brothers: Kenneth Smiley Miller and Gene Miller. Sister: Gladys Housley. 15 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A host of other relative and friends.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Saturday, January 23, 2010, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Miller and Rev. Alan Sheperd officiating.  Interment will be 2 PM Sunday at Campbell Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 PM Saturday before funeral service.
