Wilborne Wilson

Wilborne Elijah "Cotton" Wilson, age 72 of Jacksboro passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of Indian Mound Baptist Church. He was a hard worker, enjoyed making chairs and wishing wells. He loved his grandchildren and family very much.

Preceded in death by Father: Elijah Wilson. Mother: Bessie Wilson. Brother: Oberne Wilson.

Survived by Wife of 51 years: Edna Wilson of Jacksboro. Children and their spouses: JR Wilson and Debbie Nelson of Lafollette, Howard and Gaye Wilson of Jacksboro, Pam Wilson and Buster Wilburn of Jacksboro and Jenny and Dewey Madison of Caryville. Brothers: Gene Wilson of N.C. and Bob Wilson of Lafollette. Sister: Josephine Wright of Jacksboro. Sister and Brother in Law: Carolyn and Rev. Junior Nelson of Lafollette. 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 8 PM Saturday, January 17, 2009 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Charlie Wilson, Rev. Junior Nelson and Rev. Kenny Allen officiating. Interment will be 2 PM Sunday in Powell Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday night before funeral service.
