William Edward Kinslow

William (Bill) E. Kinslow Jr., age 74, of Jacksboro, TN, passed away March 5, 2013. Bill was born in Glasgow, KY on October 26, 1938. Bill was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with an engineering degree and earned his master's degree in meteorology while serving in the U.S. Air Force where he achieved the rank of Captain. His successful career included working for RCA in the development of the first supermarket scanner and positions of vice president for three major supermarket chains. He retired from Pilot Corporation in 2002 where he served as their Chief Information Officer. He was a Christian, and his dealings with others were reflected in his strong character and principles. Bill will be very deeply missed by his family and friends. His influence will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years and mother of their children, Patricia Ann Grammer Kinslow and his parents William E. Kinslow, Sr. and Mary Jayne Kinslow.

He is survived his wife Brenda; two children Jeff (Diana) and Linne (Michael); four step-children Geff (Debbie), Jennifer (Marvin), Kerry (Dave), and Paul (Rebekah); 15 grandchildren-Brittany, Ashley, Alexander, Nicholas, Joshua, Benjamin, Genevieve, Jennifer, Sunshine, Laurel, Jordan, Jonathan, Luke, Leighton, and Savannah; and one great-granddaughter, Farrah.

The family will receive friends Sunday, March 10, 2013 from 12:00 - 1:30 pm at Martin Wilson Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service and then burial with full military honors at Woodlawn Cemetery in LaFollette, TN.
