William G. Powell

William G. Powell age 89 of LaFollette passed away Sunday May 24, 2015. He was a member of West LaFollette Baptist Church. Mr. Powell was retired from State of Tn Parks and Recreation, a WW II veteran, he like to hunt and fish, enjoyed blue grass music, woodworking and could fix anything, he loved his family very much.

Preceded in death by wife Mary Helen Powell, parents Maynard and Bonnie Isley Powell, brother Maynard Powell, Jr., sisters Mary Powell Woods, Linda Powell and Cinda Draughn.

Survived by daughters Patricia A. Sexton of Oak Ridge, Linda G. Bruce and husband Luther of Cookville, brother Bobby Joe Powell of LaFollette, sisters Dorothy McGhee of LaFollette, Bonnie Kate Gross and husband Clarence of Powell, Claudette Love of Jacksboro. 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, special nephew Condy Love and special thank you to Ashley Robbins, caregiver for many months.

Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday May 26, 2015 in Martin Wilson Chapel with funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Hobert McCreary officiating. Interment will be 2:00 pm Wednesday in Indian Creek cemetery with Campbell County Honor Guard in charge of graveside service.
