William Wesley Stroup

William "Bill" Wesley Stroup, age 76, of Caryville passed away on Friday January 10, 2020. Mr. Stroup enjoyed working in his garage, listening to gospel music, and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters, who loved him very much. He never met a stranger. He was a member of Lake View Baptist Church, where he loved to go to Church.

Preceded in death by parents William and Marjorie Maxwell Stroup, brother Raymond Stroup, sister Pat Brooks.

Survived by wife, Mary Stroup of Caryville; son, Kevin Stroup and wife, Ashleigh of Knoxville; daughter, Amy Stroup of Caryville; brothers, Alonzo Stroup of Caryville, Larry Stroup of Indiana and Charles Stroup of Illinois; sisters, Wanda Huffine and Cindy Smith both of Illinois; grandchildren, Avery Stroup, Olivia and Lilly Shepperd. Several nieces and nephews and host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Lake View Baptist Church with his funeral to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Roger Stanley officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 AM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 15th, 2020 to go in funeral procession to Evans Cemetery for an 11:00 AM interment.
