Zora Mae Ballard

Zora Mae Ballard age 83of LaFollette passed away Tuesday, March 22, 206. Mrs. Ballard was a member of the Grantsboro Baptist church. She was a loving wife of sixty years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Zora enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her son Roy Andrew Ballard; parents LeRoy and Cora (Hatmaker) Day; brother Elmer Day, Otis Day, and infant brother Elga Day; sisters Rosie Ford, Roxie Bean, Novella Shepard, Dorothy Coleman, and Retha Nelson.

She is survived by husband Sherman Ballard; daughter Sharon (Paul) Gibson of LaFollette; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; special grandson Sherman and special great grandchild Skylar, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mrs. Ballard will be 1-2 pm Thursday, March 24, 2016 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm with Rev. Hobert McCreary officiating. Friends and family will leave from service for the interment at Baker's Forge Cemetery.
