Zora Lindsay

November 15, 1919 — April 2, 2009

Zora Lindsay age 89 of Jacksboro passed away Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the St. Mary's Medical Center in Campbell Co. She was a member of Indian Creek Baptist Church for 60 years. Mrs. Lindsay enjoyed sewing, cooking, flowers and her grandchildren was her joy.

Preceded in death by Husband: Ernest Lindsay. Son: Lee Lindsay. Daughter: Betty Fritts. Brothers: Hyrmal, Roscoe, Everette, Edgar, and Russell Daugherty. Parents: James and Melvina Tackett Daugherty.

Survived by Sons: James Sillus Cooper and Wife: Bertha Mae. Joe Lindsay and Wife: Sue Ann. Daughter: Darlene Irwin and Husband: Vance. 8 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild.  Brother: Marshall Daugherty. Special Friends: Lula Watson and Geraldine Anderson all of Jacksboro. Several nieces, Nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 8 PM Saturday, April 4 in Martin Wilson Chapel with Rev. Bill Wilson and Rev. James Adkins officiating. Interment will be 2 PM Sunday in Indian Creek Cemetery. The family will receive  friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday night before funeral service.
