Bethel Baxter Broyles

Bethel Baxter Broyles, age 88 of LaFollette, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at his home. He was born on February 17, 1934, to the late Estell Broyles and Sallie Leo (Carr) Broyles. Bethel enjoyed fishing and hunting. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Bobby Gene Broyles; brother James Edward Broyles and Cecil Broyles; and sister Dora Jones.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Leona Broyles of LaFollette; sons James Broyles and Billy Joe Broyles both of LaFollette; brother Ralph Broyles of Davis Creek; sisters Bertha Paul of Jacksboro, Mary Hettie Cowen of Alabama, Estella of Maryland, Anna Lou Lawson of Ohio, Linda Kennedy of LaFollette, and Martha Shouffner of Glade Springs; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Minister Bruce Holt officiating. Bethel’s wishes were to be cremated after the funeral service.
