Obituary

Clarence Boshears, 88, of Scottsburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Beehive Homes in Scottsburg. He was born on November 22, 1932 in LaFollette, Tennessee, the son of the late Millard and Bertha  (Violet) Boshears.  Clarence was a retired supervisor for the trucking department at I-Supply in Springfield, Ohio and served during the Korean War as a Corporal in the U.S. Army.  He loved fishing and had participated in numerous bass fishing competitions.  Clarence enjoyed visiting with people that would describe him as a very kind man who always took care of his wife who he loved very much.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Arnold, J.B., Virgil and Nash Boshears; six sisters, Florida Moore, Florene Ford, Fontella Napier, Faye Ingram, Flossie Robbins and Frances McCarty and their two Beagle dogs that they treated like children, Penny and Missy.  Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Anita Louise (Hutchinson) Boshears; a brother, Eddie Boshears and numerous generations of nieces and nephews.  Funeral Service: 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home in LaFollette, Tennessee with Jonathan Gibson officiating.  Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday at Collins Funeral Home in Scottsburg, Indiana and 10:00 am to 12:00 noon on Wednesday at Martin Wilson Funeral Home.  Visitation in Indiana will be open to the public as long as social distancing guidelines can be observed and will be limited to 50 people in the building. Please follow the CDC’s recommendations and guidelines while attending the services and face masks will be required due to the governor's executive mandate.  Interment with military honors will be in Baker Forge Cemetery in LaFollette, Tennessee.  Online condolences:www.collinsfuneralhome.net.
