Della Mae Saylor

Della Mae Saylor, age 80 of Lexington, KY, passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at St. Joseph Hospital. She was born on January 27, 1941 to the late Henry and Ruby (Sellers) Ward. She enjoyed decorating, cooking, flowers, sewing, and crafts. She was a member of Cornerstone Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandson Joshua Noe; brothers Clifford, Ken, Ralph, Dean, Coy, and Joe Ward; sister Diane Lemaire; and father of her children Burchel Saylor.

She is survived by her daughters Debbie Douglas and husband Tim of Stanford, KY, Sandi Clark and husband Frankie of Lexington, KY, Teresa Abney and husband Alan of Lexington, KY, and Hope Hall and husband Ken of Lexington KY; brother Johnny Ward and wife Barb of LaFollette; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12:00-1:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with her grandson Matthew Saylor officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service to Campbell Memorial Gardens.
