Dennis G. Mounts

Dennis G. Mounts, age 90 of Speedwell, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday. October 16, 2021. He was born on February 26, 1931 to the late Lonnie and Lenora “Cline” Mounts. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed bowling and gardening. Dennis loved attending church at Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he was a member for many years. He also considered it an honor to serve his country in the Army for 3 years and the Air Force for 19 years.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years and mother of his children Helen Patrick Mounts; half brother Bob Justice, Filbert Justice, Hilbert Justice, and Frankie Justice.

He is survived by his sons Patrick Alan Mounts and wife Angela of Speedwell, Jeffrey Duane Mounts of LaFollette, Gregory Craig Mounts of Speedwell, and Dennis Frank Mounts of Texas; brothers James Mounts of Harrogate and Carlos Mounts of Dandridge; sister Retha Matney of Hurley, VA; half-brothers Ted Justice and Ronnie Justice; half-sister Gloria Celina;9 grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will have a visitation from 12:00-2:00 PM on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Don Proffitt officiating. The interment will follow the funeral service at Beeler Cemetery with Military Honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
