Francis Willis Campbell, age 80 of LaFollette, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. Francis enjoyed playing the banjo and bluegrass music. Francis also enjoyed working in the garden, spending time with family, but his best times were spent with all his grandchildren. Francis retired after twenty-nine years from Austin Powder; he then chose to go part time with Vital Care EMS services. Francis was a simple man who had a lot of love for others and cherished everything and every moment he was given. Francis was the son of the late George and Evelyn Campbell of Stinking Creek.
He is preceded in death by his son Jeffery Campbell; great grandson Liam Webb; brothers Floyd and Jerry Campbell; and his sister Wanda Lou Ridenour.
Francis is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Frances Campbell of LaFollette; daughters Sandra and husband Darrell Baird and Connie and husband Roland Ayers; son Stephen Campbell and girlfriend Janet Day; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers Ulys Campbell, Clevis and wife Rhonda, and George Jr. and wife Judy Campbell; sisters Bertha Mae and husband Hansford Bolton, Carolyn and husband Curtis Ridenour, Darlene Branam, Diane and husband Lynn White, and Sherry and husband Lester Bolton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 PM on Saturday, September 9, 2023, in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Arlie Muse, Rev. Roland Ayers, and Rev. Steve Bruce officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:00 AM on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Davis Cemetery for an 10:00 AM graveside service.
