Gary Simpson Finch, age 66 of Shamokin Northumberland County, Pennsylvania died unexpectedly in his sleep due to cardiopulmonary complications on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his beloved Great Smoky Mountain home.
Gary was a 1970 graduate from Lower Dauphin Senior High School and achieved a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Pennsylvania State University. Gary was a member of Local 488 Projectionist Union and held management positions at several businesses including Silo and Trop Gun shop. While living in Tennessee, Gary was an outstanding salesman with WTNQ 104.9 and did volunteer work his local Habitat for Humanity. He was an avid woodsman and loved hunting and fishing. Gary enjoyed riding his motorcycle and gardening. He will be missed by all his relatives and friends.
Gary is preceded in death by his father Walter Finch, Jr.
Gary is survived by his wife, Della (Kramp Hagan) Finch; children Gary Fox, Jennifer Diaz, and Angela Hill; step-children Gregory Hagan Jr., and Alicia (Hagan) Smith; grandsons: Nicholas Fox and Marcus Hall; granddaughter: Elida Diaz; mother: June (Horoschak) Finch-Cale; brothers: Greg Finch, Walter Finch III.; sisters: Linda Thompson and Teresa Finch; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Family and friends may attend services at Seven Sorrows BVM Church in 360 East Water Street, Middletown PA on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be sent to Tennessee Wildlife Resource Foundation or Pennsylvania’s Wildlife for Everyone Foundation.
