Jimmy Carl “J. C.” Perkins age 68, of Jacksboro went home to be with his Heavenly father on Saturday November 27, 2021. He was a loving husband, devoted and loving daddy and papaw that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a devoted deacon and a joyful servant of the Lord. He enjoyed sharing his testimony with everyone. No one could think of J.C. without thinking about his testimony of what the Lord had done for him and what the Lord had done for his family. He was a faithful member of Long Hollow Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by parents Andy Perkins and Hazel King Perkins, brothers Orville, Virgil and Jerry; sisters Lorain, June, Jeanise, and Norma Jean.
J.C. is survived by his loving wife Terri Lynn Berry Perkins of Jacksboro; daughter Whitney Eileen Bates and husband Zach of Rocky Top; brother, Larry Perkins and wife Gail; sisters, Wilma Copeland and husband Charlie, Dorothy Haynes and husband Ralph, Ann Teague and husband Shann; grandchildren Bradley, Kaci Lynn, Khloe, and Jadon Carl, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Long Hollow Baptist Church with his funeral service to follow at 7:00 with Rev. Matt Howard and Rev. Ronnie Joe Silcox officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 am on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Bakers Forge cemetery for a 11:00 am interment.
The pallbearers for J.C. will be Larry Perkins, Archie Baird, Charlie Copeland, Ralph Haynes, Sidney Hayes, Zach Bates, and Kevin Bowling.
