Obituary
John A. “Jack” Underwood III, age 82 of LaFollette, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023, at his home. Jack was born on May 13, 1941, to the late John Underwood Jr. and Beatrice (Tracy) Underwood. He enjoyed wood working and his furry friend Cody.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years Shelia A. Underwood; brother Thomas Underwood; and his sister Mary Hart.
Jack is survived by his sons John A. Underwood IV and wife Dawn and Joseph A. Underwood and wife Christina; mother of his children Charolette Funkhouser; grandchildren; John, Brielle, Riley Ann, Arden, and Mallory; special friends Betty Aiken and Tammy Blankenship; and a host of church family and other friends.
A visitation will be from 5:00-6:00 PM on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Jacksboro Methodist Church with a Celebration of Life to start at 6:00 PM with Rev. Keith Hampson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Powell Valley Cemetery on Saturday, July 29, 2023, for an 10:00 AM interment with Military Honors given by the Campbell County Honor Guard.
