John (J.C.) Williams Obituary

John C. (J.C.) Williams went home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2021. He worked for the Campbell County Highway Department where he retired after 38 years. He attended Ford Town Baptist Church of LaFollette. JC was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed working on his farm and being outdoors but must of all he loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Williams, and Annie (Vinsant) Williams; brothers Burgin, Harvey, and Oscar Williams; sisters Corene, Retha Mae, and Ruby Williams and Christine Franks.

JC leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Niva Jean Williams; sons Delain Williams and wife Mary, and Greg Williams of Jacksboro; daughters Vivian “Dee” Williams of Knoxville, Pamela Daugherty and husband Keith Daugherty of Jacksboro, Michelle Munsey and husband Charles Munsey of Nancy, Ky; 7 grandchildren who were the pride of his life: Missy Spradling and husband Randy Spradlin, Ashley Housewright and husband Billy Housewright, Brandon Williams and wife Amy Williams, Diane Daugherty, Blake Williams and wife Sonny Williams, Taylor and Kaitlyn Munsey; 6 great grandchildren: Madison Spradlin, Kenzie Housewright, Jesse Williams, Emily, Amber, and Madison Mitchell.

He will be greatly missed by many.

The family had a private graveside service at Indian Creek Cemetery with Terry Mefford officiating. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Fordtown Baptist Church youth program.
