Leon Lawson

Leon Lawson, age 82 of Caryville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2022. He was born on March 14, 1940, to the late Mike and Josephine (Smith) Lawson.  He was a loving husband of 55 years, father, grandfather, great grandfather, that enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed doing sheetrock, which he did for years, working in the garden, fishing, squirrel hunting, and enjoyed life. 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife Wilma, brothers Mickey and Bill Lawson, and sister Marie Goins.

He is survived by his son Richard Lawson and wife Nicole of LaFollette; daughter Sonia Lindsay and husband Tim of LaFollette; brother Lloyd Lawson and wife Mitzi of Caryville; 3 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Danny Wilson officiating. Family and friends will meet on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 12:15 PM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home to go in funeral procession to Campbell Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 PM interment.
