Lois J (Gossett) Byrge

Lois J. Byrge, age 79 passed away on Sunday May 30, 2021.  She was a member of High Street Baptist Church. Lois enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, making jewelry, find-a-word puzzles, cheering on the Vols and Lady Vols’ basketball team, and spending time with her family. She was a true country girl.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James F. Byrge; her parents, Alfred and Mildred Gossett; and brother, Roy Gossett.

She is survived by sons, James Byrge and wife Tammy of LaFollette and Garry Gibson of Harrogate; daughter, Vickie Sexton and husband Ben of LaFollette; grandchildren, David, James, Trevor, Jeremiah, Joshua, Brigiette, Cari, and Lori; great-grandchildren, Richard, Archer, Addison, and Trinity; and her best friend and companion, Steve Payne.

Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM Friday, June 4, 2021 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. James Adkins officiating. Internment will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 12 PM at the Dupont Cemetery in Seymour, TN.
