Mitzi (Etters) Smiddy

Mitzi Gaye (Etters) Smiddy, age 53 of LaFollette, passed away peacefully at her home on August 22, 2020. She was born October 10, 1966 in Knoxville to the late John Etters and Irene (Bell) Etters. Mitzi was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed collecting what-nots, going to the flea markets, gardening flowers, and fishing. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren that she loved very much. Mitzi enjoyed her job at Wal-Mart, where she worked for 14 years. She loved her dogs Carice and Sassy.

She is survived by her loving husband Eddie Smiddy of LaFollette; son Josh Etters and wife Hollie of LaFollette, and step-son Parker Smiddy and wife, Veronica of LaFollette; brothers Johnny Etters and wife Janie of Speedwell; sisters Shelia Puckett and husband Jerry of LaFollette and Tammy Hatton and husband Bob of Speedwell; Grandchildren J.J., Grayson, and Gunner; several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at High Knob Baptist Church with funeral service following at 7:00 PM with Rev. Dwane Byrd and Rev. Kenny Allen officiating. The family and friends will meet at Martin Wilson Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 to go in funeral procession to Powell Valley Cemetery for a 2:00 PM interment.
