Patricia "Patty" Heflin Obituary

Patricia “Patti” A. Heflin was born March 6, 1954, at Sibley Hospital in Washington DC. She spent her younger years in the DC area before the family moved to Northern Virginia. Patti was the daughter of the late Lewis “Buddy” Grigsby and the late Virginia “Jean” Vanier she was the younger sister to brothers the late Billy Grigsby, the late Larry Grigsby, and only surviving sibling her sister Gloria Grigsby. Patti departed this earthly life on April 16, 2023, at the age of 69.

Patti is survived by her son Ricky L. English (husband Michael) and her granddaughter Autumn Irvin (husband Sebastian) of Fredericksburg Va. and Colonial Beach Va. respectively along with other extended family members.

Patti was a great lover of music. Like many of her generation, Elvis Presley was a huge personal favorite. This love of music was passed to her son and her granddaughter.

Patti had a smile that could light a room and a laugh that could be heard three rooms away. She had a light that no matter the obstacle could not be dimmed. Patti’s family will miss her more than words could say.

Memorial services will be held at a later time in both Morristown Tn. & Fredericksburg Va. Information will be forthcoming.
