Richard "Richie" Maxwell

Richard “Richie” Maxwell, age 58, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday April 30, 2022. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

He was a faithful member of Alder Springs Baptist Church. He was a devoted father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being on the lake with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and Eva Maxwell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Maxwell; daughters, Monica Surber and husband Matt, and daughter Amanda Byers; grandchildren, Logan Surber, Harley Byers, Chloe Baird, and Stella Byers, all of LaFollette.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home from 5 PM to 7 PM with funeral service to follow at 7 PM with Rev. Steve Elkins officiating. Family and friends will meet at Martin Wilson funeral Home at 10 AM on Wednesday May 4, 2022 to go in funeral procession to Shelby Cemetery in Alder Springs for an 11 AM interment.
