Sherry Ruth Murray

Sherry Ruth Murray, age 62 of Knoxville, departed this life on Monday, May 10, 2021 at her residence. She was born on September 29, 1958 to the late Lonas Young and Naomi (Wright) Young.  She was a loving mother that never got older than 29 years old. She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking trips with her grandchildren, and being with her fiancé of 30 years, Doug Bruce.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Zachery Partin; sister Annette “Stretch” Young; and brother Phillip “Zol” Young.

She is survived by sons William Travis Murray of Farragut and Nathaniel Thomas Partin of Heiskell; daughter Johnna Ann Murray of Knoxville; brother David Young of Demory; grandchildren Elia Murray, Ian Partin, Naomi Murray, Sadie Murray, Abigail Partin, and Journey Faith Murray; fiancé Doug Bruce; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 16, 2021 in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home.
