Shirley Louise Norman

Shirley Louise Norman, age 81 of Pioneer, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. She was born on July 30, 1940 to the late James Brown Sr. and Mary (Douglas) Brown. She was loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend that enjoyed teaching at Elk Valley School, where she taught until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Lee Norman; son James Wesley Norman; daughter Pamela Louise Norman; brothers George Brown, Dr. Ted Brown, and James Brown Jr.; sisters Marie Thompson, Elizabeth Lynch, and Muriel Brewer.

She is survived by her sister Irene Stratton; granddaughter Amber Lawson; great grandson Alex James Lawson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Martin Wilson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Kenneth Ballard officiating. Family and friends will meet at Baird Cemetery on Saturday, May 14, 2022 for a 12:00 PM interment.
