William "Bill" Nathaniel Baird

William Nathaniel “Bill” Baird, age 64 of LaFollette, departed this life on Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born June 16, 1959 in LaFollette to the late Albert and Mae Walden Baird. William was loving Husband of 32 years, father, grandfather that enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He loved being in the mountains and hunting ginseng.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Rose Baird; brothers, Bob Rose and Hubert Rose; sisters, Brenda Baird, Alberta Baird and Katherine Rose.

Bill is survived by his daughter, Virginia (Ginia May) Oakes and husband, Chris of Jacksboro; sons, William “Bill Bo” Baird and wife, Haley of Pioneer, Joshua Baird and wife, Tosha of LaFollette; brothers, Ed Baird and wife, Brenda of LaFollette and Jerry Baird and Brenda of LaFollette; sisters, Ida Smith and husband, Howard of Duff, Phyllis Pagel of Ohio, Glenda Richardson of Duff; grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan, Katelyn, Elisa, Kaydon, and Kamdon; great grandson, Baylor; several nieces, nephews, and host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Bill Baird will receive friends on Monday July 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM with Rev. Curtis Graham officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Halls Cemetery.
